Ozone Breakdown is a collective of DJs and live musicians, bringing you the hottest underground parties at various venues across Cambridgeshire. Set up in 2007, we wanted to create a scene to match the days of the early warehouse era back in 88/89. Our parties vary from theme to theme and venue to venue to keep creating that electric vibe. Ozone Breakdown is made up of Tim Coombs and Frank Besant promoters and resident DJs. Also on board is Gary Stewart resident DJ and guitarist and Pete Tonks on percussion.
As a collective the impact on the night ranges through various DJ styles building as the night progresses and then add to that the live guitar and percussion and Ozone breakdown really put on a unique and energetic show. And of course then there is the guest DJs that we book and no two nights are the same.
Frank Besant (Ozone chief & resident) starting DJ’ing in the early nineties, eventually securing a residency at the now legendary “Coco Loco” parties as well as playing many events in and around the East of England. He joined forces with Tim Coombs (Ozone chief & resident) in the late nineties & the two have established themselves as one of the best duo’s around. Franks style still lends itself to the “classic” era although with modern House/Electro/Bass twists & works as the perfect accompliment to Tims style.
Gary our resident DJ and guitarist has been accompanying DJs on guitar for nearly 15 years and played funk guitar along side some of the worlds best including Farley Jackmaster Funk, CJ Mackintosh, MYNC, Eric Morillo and many more. Now DJ’ing for more than 9 years he has a style and influences from early Renaissance DJs Sasha and Digweed to modern day Eric Prydz and Riva Starr his Progressive, Tech house sets always deliver.
